Stellar Wind (Curlin) cruised to a 2 3/4-length victory while making her stakes debut in Saturday's $100,500 Santa Ysabel S. (G3) at Santa Anita Park, and in the process earned 50 points toward a starting berth in the May 1 Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs.

With Victor Espinoza aboard, chestnut miss ran 1 1/16 miles on the fast dirt in 1:43 for John Sadler, who just took over training duties on the miss after she was purchased by Hronis Racing LLC following an 8 3/4-length maiden romp at Laurel Park in mid-December.

Facing winners for the first time in the Santa Ysabel, Stellar Wind overtook 2-1 favorite Light the City (Street Sense) to secure the victory. Glory (Tapit) was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third, while Achiever's Legacy (City Zip) rallied for fourth.
