Godolphin Racing's Frosted denied the upset-minded 21-1 shot Tencendur with a strong late rally in Saturday's $1 million TwinSpires.com Wood Memorial (G1) at Aqueduct.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, the Kiaran McLaughlin trainee was bouncing back from two losses at Gulfstream Park. He had finished second to Upstart in the Holy Bull (G2) and fourth behind that same rival in the Fountain of Youth (G2).

Doing his best work in deep stretch of Saturday's Wood, Frosted finished 1 1/8 miles on the fast track in 1:50 1/5 and paid $6.40 to win. The son of Tapit earned 100 points toward the Kentucky Derby (G1), bringing his total up to 113.

Tencendur banked 40 points and now has 41, ensuring himself a spot in the Run for the Roses as well. El Kabeir closed belatedly for third, and added 20 more points to his account that now stands at 95. Daredevil tired to fourth and doubled his points total to 20.
