Churchill Downs Racetrack, in conjunction with, will provide live online streaming of Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks workouts when the exclusive 8:30-8:45 a.m. (all times Eastern) training window begins Saturday in earnest.

Training hours at Churchill Downs will be 5:45-10 a.m. daily through April 30 with an 8-8:30 a.m. break to renovate the racetrack. A special 15-minute session from 8:30-8:45 a.m. is exclusive to Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks participants and any workmates. The specially-made Derby and Oaks saddle towels must be worn to gain access to the racetrack during that window.
Five of the Top 20 horses on the Road to the Kentucky Derby Leaderboard are on the grounds at Churchill Downs:American Pharoah (trained by Bob Baffert, stabled in Barn 33); Far Right (Ron Moquett, Barn 10A); Danzig Moon (Mark Casse, Barn 36); War Story (Tom Amoss, Barn 29); and Mr. Z (D. Wayne Lukas, Barn 44). Two others – Keen Ice (Dale Romans, Barn 4) and Bold Conquest (Steve Asmussen, Barn 38) – hope to get in the race if there are any defections.
Ken and Sarah Ramsey’s International Star (Mike Maker), the points leader who swept the Lecomte, Risen Star and Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds, is expected to van from his base at Churchill Downs’ Trackside Training Center for a breeze on Saturday. John Oxley’s Danzig Moon, runner-up to Carpe Diem in the Blue Grass, will breeze five furlongs, according to assistant trainer Norman Casse. Both are expected on the track at 8:30 a.m.
Six of the Top 14 fillies on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks Leaderboard are stabled at Churchill: Birdatthewire (Romans, Barn 4), Oceanwave (Wayne Catalano, Barn 30), Maybellene (Baffert, Barn 33), Puca (Bill Mott, Barn 19), Shook Up (Steve Asmussen (Barn 38) and Luminance (Baffert, Barn 33). Forever Unbridled (Dallas Stewart, Barn 48) is next in line to gain entry into the field if there are any defections.
