Caramelized Smithfield Bourbon Bacon Recipe

  • 1 Package Smithfield® Thick Cut Bacon, 16 oz.
  • 1/4 cup bourbon for caramelized bacon 
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup 
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line 2 backing pans with parchment paper
  3. Remove bacon from package and space evenly without overlapping slices.
  4. Place pans in oven and back 15 minutes.  Rotate pans halfway through baking time.  Remove from oven.
  5. While bacon cooks, combine honey, 1/4 cup bourbon and maple syrup in a bowl 
  6. Brush bacon with bourbon/maple syrup/honey mixture
  7. Return to oven and bake 3-5 minutes
  8. Let cool slightly and serve immediately
