Kiaran P. McLaughlin

With 34 major stakes victories and 1,300+ total wins under his belt, McLaughlin has become a force in the world of horse racing. McLaughlin has led an increasingly interesting career, that also included a decade-long stint where he split his time working in the USA and Dubai. He made a permanent move to the USA in 2003 and set up shop in New York, though he is originally from Lexington, Kentucky. His lone Triple Crown victory came at the 2006 Belmont Stakes with Jazil. McLaughlin also trained Invasor, who won the 2006 Breeders’ Cup Classic and the Dubai World Cup in 2007. Lahudood would also win the 2007 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf. McLaughlin’s global presence has helped him collect over 1,300 wins and $95 million in career earnings. His notable horses include Dumaani, Closin Argument, Henry Hughes and Frosted. McLaughlin currently trains Mohaymen, the leading Kentucky Derby hopeful.
