All onsite parking at Churchill Downs is reserved throughout Derby Week. Appropriate hang tags or mobile passes will be be required for entry into all lots.
Tuesday- Thursday lots open: 10AM
Oaks & Derby days lots open: 9AM
On Thurby, Oaks and Derby, guests may utilize rideshare options at the Cardinal Stadium Bronze Lot.
Thursday, September 3rd – “Thurby” - Traffic will be restricted along Central Avenue from Floyd Street to Taylor, and Oakdale Avenue from Southern Parkway to Central Avenue starting at 10:00am.
Oaks and Derby – Traffic will be restricted along Central Avenue from Floyd Street to Taylor, and Oakdale Avenue from Southern Parkway to Central Ave starting at 8:00am.

No onsite guest drop-offs are permitted without a pre-purchased Derby Drive Drop-off Pass. Guests with a pre-purchased pass can be dropped off at our Derby Drive Drop-off zone. Passes are good for Drop-off only.
Guest Drop-off Zone hours:
Oaks: 9:00 a.m. – 30 minutes prior to the start of the Oaks Race
Derby: 9:00 a.m. – 30 minutes prior to the start of the Derby Race
If you wish to purchase a drop-off pass, each pass is $500 and can be purchased by contacting (502) 636-4450 for assistance while supplies last.
Parking may also be available in the neighborhoods surrounding Churchill Downs. Please be advised Churchill Downs does not own all property or parking lots adjacent to the racetrack facility. Some private lot attendants may charge you to park, depending on the day. Pedestrians parking north of Churchill Downs will be able to cross Central Ave. at 3rd, 6th and 9th streets.
For those guests requiring ADA-accessibility, the pedestrian crossings at 3rd Street and 9th Street are recommended.
Attendees utilizing rental scooters as their mode of transportation will not be able to access the Churchill Downs property or any of the restricted roadways on the scooter. Please utilize the scooter app for details about appropriate parking zones and restricted riding areas. Ride safely!
