Clyde Van Dusen Wins!

Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. CLYDE VAN DUSEN took the lead after the first quarter, saved ground while setting the pace and responded to light shaking up to the stretch to hold his opponents safe. NAISHAPUR, slow to start and racing wide, began moving up after going, five-eighths and, after being blocked in the stretch, where he swerved, finished with a rush when clear. PANCHIO was prominent for the entire race and, benefited by a strong ride, outfinished BLUE LARKSPUR. The latter ran well to stretch where he dropped back but came again after going to the inside and just failed to get up for third place. WINDY CITY raced well and held on gamely. VOLTEAR tired in the final drive. BEN MACHREE finished with a rush. KARL EITEL tired. MINOTAUR was always far back. ESSARE showed early speed. FOLKING was done after reaching the stretch. Scratched - The Choctaw, Ervast, Boris, St. Ignatius, Hiram Kelly.
