Kiaran McLaughlin

Kiaran began his career as an assistant trainer for top trainers including D. Wayne Lukas. After a stint training in the United Arab Emirates where he was the leading conditioner in Dubai three different times, McLaughlin returned to the United States with his own string of horses. In 2006, he trained Belmont Stakes winner Jazil as well as Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and Horse of the Year Invasor, who would go on to win the 2007 Dubai World Cup. Other top horses include Henny Hughes, Lear's Princess, It's Tricky, Soldat and Flashy Bull. Kiaran has started four horses in the Kentucky Derby with his top finisher, Closing Argument, being a close second in 2005.

Darley Stable

Darley Stable is owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid al Maktoum, the prime minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai.  The Sheikh saw his first horse race in 1967 and purchased his first racehorse in 1976, Hatta.  Darley stands more than 50 stallions in five countries, including a farm in Lexington, Kentucky where stallion Bernardini - a 2006 Kentucky Derby contender and Preakness Stakes winner - was foaled.  Darley is consistently ranked among the top fifteen owners in North America.
