Unbridled Forever likely for FG Oaks

Trainer Dallas Stewart has been very high on Saturday's Silverbulletday winner Unbridled Forever ever since she came into his barn, and the bay daughter of Unbridled's Song justified his optimism with the 1 1/2-length tally in the first leg of the local series that concludes with the Grade 2, $400,000 Fair Grounds Oaks on Louisiana Derby Day, March 29.

"I thought she was spectacular yesterday," Stewart declared Sunday morning when speaking outside his barn during training hours. "I also thought that (jockey) Robby Albarado did a great job getting her to the outside and putting her in a position to win."

Unbridled Forever is out of 2006 Kentucky Oaks winner Lemons Fever, who was also trained by Stewart, but is taking a different path to Oaks Day than her dam. Lemons Forever never competed at Fair Grounds and just made her stakes debut a third-place finish in the Bourbonette Oaks prior to her Kentucky Oaks glory.

"Probably the Fair Grounds Oaks," Stewart said in regards to Unbridled Forever's next race. "At least that's the preliminary fan right now. There are a lot of good races for three-year-old fillies later in the spring and there's no reason to ask her to do too much right now."
