Media Opportunity: Churchill Downs to Change Grandstand Signage Friday at 10:30 a.m. to Reflect 2018 Kentucky Derby

What: It’s just another “sign” that Kentucky Derby 144 is right around the corner! Churchill Downs laborers will change the signage on the historic grandstand (from 143^rd Derby 2017 to 144^th Derby 2018) and the Kentucky Derby Winner’s Stand/Pagoda (from Derby 2017 to Derby 2018). 

When: Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. EDT

 

Where: Please enter Churchill Downs through Gate 1 off Central Avenue. (Park in parking lot nearest to Gate 1 and the Kentucky Derby Museum. Proceed to the paddock runway/horse tunnel that runs from the paddock to the main track. The media opportunity will take place at the end of the paddock runway near the main track and Trackside Winner’s Circle.

 

Background:

 

·        Opening Night of the 38-day Spring Meet is Saturday, April 28.

·        And, on Thursday, we’re just 30 days from Kentucky Derby 144 on Saturday, May 5.
