A small but strong six-horse field has entered Saturday’s $175,000 Monomoy Girl S. at Churchill Downs.

The 1 1/16-mile dirt race for three-year-old fillies has drawn 2024 champion two-year-old filly Immersive as well as Kentucky Oaks (G1) starters Take Charge Milady and Anna’s Promise.

She took time off during the winter and spring due to bone bruising and missed the Kentucky Oaks as a result, but six timed workouts since the beginning of May should have Immersive ready for a competitive performance in the Monomoy Girl.

Take Charge Milady has struggled with consistency and exits a 12th-place finish in the Kentucky Oaks. But on her best day, she’s a force to reckon with. She crushed the Martha Washington S. by 5 3/4 lengths during the winter and ran second in the Ashland (G1) two starts back. Either of those efforts would make Take Charge Milady a win threat in the Monomoy Girl, and sharp workouts since the Kentucky Oaks suggest she’s ready to bring her A game.
