Running Away

Running Away, a granddaughter of 2005 Kentucky Oaks winner Summerly, ran herself into the Oaks picture in the Busanda at Aqueduct. Later at Fair Grounds, Simply Joking dominated the Silverbulletday.

Change was expected in the Kentucky Derby picture with the running of four final prep races at the weekend. But the level of disruption was much greater than most would have predicted.

Seven re-entered the 1 1/8-mile contest at Aqueduct, worth points on the 20-10-6-4-2 scale to the top five finishers.
