With an action packed weekend, get it started with horse racing weekend expert picks and promotions! Saturday's $1 million Stephen Foster (GI) features a rematch of Kentucky Derby 150's top two finishers: Mystik Dan and Sierra Leone. The race is part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge Series as a 'Win and You're In' for the Breeders' Cup Classic (GI) on Nov. 1 at Del Mar. The field is also expected to include Dubai World Cup (GI) winner Hit Show and Churchill Downs Stakes (GI) winner Mindframe.

To add to the excitement at Churchill this weekend, Thorpedo Anna, Horse of the Year and Longines Kentucky Oaks 150 winner, headlines the $500,000 Fasig-Tipton Fleur de Lis (GII). As another race part of the Breeders' Cup Challenge Series and a 'Win and You're In' for the Breeders' Cup Distaff (GI), it is a much watch to prepare for Breeders' Cup Weekend.

In total, 11 stakes races will be run across this horse racing weekend, with purses totaling $3.925 million.

Horse Racing Weekend Wagering Opportunities

Special $3 All-Turf Pick 3 (15% takeout)

The Special All-Turf Pick 3 includes an all-stakes sequence for the extending across the wagering menu for Saturday and Sunday's cards at Churchill Downs. Horse enthusiasts will be favored with a 15% takeout and available to bet on track at Churchill along with other ADW outlets like TwinSpires, the official wagering provider of Churchill Downs.

The Saturday June 28 card features the $500,000 Wise Dan (GII), $250,000 American Derby (Listed), and $250,000 Tepin Stakes (Listed) and will begin with the Tepin Stakes in Race 8 at 4:25 PM ET.

The sequence for Sunday, June 29, which is the closing day for the program includes promising stakes, such as the Bashford Manor S., Debutante S., Hanshin S., Anchorage Overnight S., and the Maxfield S.

Derby City 6 Jackpot

The Derby City 6 Jackpot had more than $800,000 entering Thursday's card. It will have a mandatory payout on Sunday's Closing Day with a sequence that covers the final six races each day. The 20-cent base wager carries a 15% takeout.

On non-mandatory days if there is one unique winning combination the full jackpot is paid. Multiple winners share 90% of the day's pool with going to the carryover. If there are no winning combinations, the daily pool carries over. The exact carryover can be found HERE at TwinSpires Carryovers.
