Just for Fun Stables (Ruben Sierra)
Owner
Sierra has had a passion for racing since he was just 6 years old when he would watch races with his family on Sunday afternoons in his hometown of Caracas, Venezuela. For his 12th birthday Sierra picked out a thoroughbred that his father purchased for him, that horse went on to win two races.

Pedigree
Decisive Moment, who accumulated the bulk of his graded earnings from second-place finishes in the Delta Jackpot S. (G3) and Spiral S. (G3), is one of only two stakes winners in the last three generations of his female family.
Decisive Moment was bred in Florida by owner Ruben Sierra
The subject colt is from the first crop of With Distinction, a Grade 3-winning sprinter who won as far as a mile (around one turn at Churchill Downs) and once finished a close second in the nine-furlong San Antonio H. (G2). The only other member of this crop to earn black type is the stakes-placed Dearly Concerned.
With Distinction’s half-brother Living Vicariously (Time for a Change) won the 1 3/8-mile Brooklyn H. (G2), while his half-sister Resort (Pleasant Colony) finished second in the 10-furlong Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) before producing Peter Pan S. (G2) winner Sightseeing (Pulpit).
Decisive Moment is out of the unraced Dehere mare Lady Samira, who also raised the minor stakes-placed Evenly (Stephen Got Even) and Judge’s Appeal (Judge T C). Decisive Moment’s second dam, Tell Margie (Talc), is the only other stakes winner in the last three generations of this female family.
Decisive Moment’s fourth dam, Li’l Puss (Noble Jay), is the ancestress of the hard-knocking Devil His Due (Devil’s Bag), a five-time Grade 1 winner who chose to run the worst race of his career in the 1992 Kentucky Derby (G1) where he finished 12th in a field of 18.
Broodmare sire Dehere was the champion juvenile colt of 1993, but was retired after suffering an injury after winning the 1994 Fountain of Youth S. (G2). His daughters have produced previous classic hopefuls, such as Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Friesan Fire (A.P. Indy) and Illinois Derby (G2) winner Recapturetheglory (Cherokee Run), as well as 2007 champion sprinter Midnight Lute (Real Quiet).
